Cage your love

Love.. an animal to capture it..

Snatch away it's self proclaimed  freedom.

Chains & cages only fuel their desire to escape.

Love it till it can't dream of a future without you

Then you wouldn't need a cage.

That's when you've successfully 'tamed' it.

Replacing old dreams with new convenient ones.

Old instincts would still resurface though..every now and then.

They're hard wired so they stay..

The desire to escape..and run away from it all..

To wake up in a panic to realise that the place is safe..that it'll always be safe.

That unnatural sense of security would leave it with an unsettling feeling.

Leaving it wanting to run away..or just to run..for the thrill of running.

Humans can be tamed just the same.

Our society does that on a massive scale all the time.

We do it to ourselves when we look in the mirror.
